Child Care Provider (Private Home)

Our family in downtown Toronto is seeking a permanent, full-time child care provider to care for our toddler in our private home. The position is based in our non-smoking household. Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge, but it is not a condition of employment. The caregiver must have a flexible schedule, as hours may include early mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities include all aspects of toddler care, such as feeding, bathing, diaper changing, supervising play, supporting emotional well-being, and encouraging cognitive, emotional and social development through consistent routines and activities. The role also involves preparing healthy meals, maintaining a safe and tidy home environment, light housekeeping, providing first aid if needed, traveling with us when required, and assuming full responsibility for the household in our absence.

Applicants must have completed secondary school, have at least five years of experience as a child care provider, and hold valid First Aid and CPR certification. English is required, and Portuguese is an asset.
