Finance Officer
About This Role
PGCC is seeking a qualified Finance Officer professional to oversee all financial operations of the Club. Reporting to the General Manager/COO, this position is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, audit coordination, and compliance with applicable legislation and accounting standards in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial performance and report variances to management
- Maintain financial records in accordance with Canadian accounting standards
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets
- Develop cash flow forecasts and long-term financial projections
- Monitor financial results and recommend corrective actions
- Accounting and Internal Controls
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
- Audit and Compliance
- Coordinate annual audit and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations
- Maintain adherence to Not-for-Profit and Canadian GAAP standards
- Administration and Supervision
- Supervise administrative and accounting staff
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance
- Work collaboratively with department managers on financial matters
- Systems and Technology
- Maintain accounting systems and financial reporting tools
- Support club management software and related systems
Required Skills
- Jonas Club Management software experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in private club, hospitality, or service-based operations
- Experience with Jonas Club Software or similar systems
