About This Role
Northern Concrete Refinement & Polishing Co. is a full-service residential, commercial, and industrial flooring contractor specializing in mechanically polished concrete flooring solutions, concrete floor preparation, and a variety of grind & seal applications, including but not limited to acrylic guards and epoxy flooring systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Concrete grinding and polishing
- Using a variety of different hand tools some requiring being on hands and knees for a duration of time.
- Applications of various grouts, densifiers, dyes, repair products, sealers, guards, epoxy coatings, control joint fill and concrete repairs.
- Traveling to job sites dependent on scope of work, if outside of 2 hours we will provide lodging and food allowance
- A majority of our work is days but all candidates must be willing to travel and work nights and/or weekends if required
- Use of planetary and dual drive Husqvarna remote and push grinders
- Strong attention to detail required
- Power grouting
Required Skills
- Achieving different aggregate exposures and sheen levels
- Reading floors
- Mechanically polished concrete with penetrating sealers, not using guards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred but not required for this position
- Valid Driver’s license and a clear abstractGeneral understanding of construction safety and standards
- Ability to work independently showing good judgement
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
