Retail Sales Supervisor
About This Role
1. Supervision and Team Leadership
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of retail sales staff in the parts department
Assign duties and prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations
Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing training, coaching, and guidance
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of staff
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and established sales practices
2. Customer Service Oversight
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service by all team members
Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and product returns in a professional and timely manner
Support staff with complex or high-value sales transactions and technical product inquiries
Promote parts and accessories to meet departmental sales objectives
3. Inventory and Merchandising Control
Oversee inventory levels and coordinate ordering to maintain adequate stock availability
Ensure accurate receiving, pricing, labelling, and organization of merchandise
Maintain orderly and effective product displays in line with retail standards
Supervise inventory counts and investigate and resolve discrepancies
4. Ordering and Supplier Coordination
Coordinate procurement of parts and accessories from suppliers
Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on backorders and delivery timelines
Authorize returns, exchanges, and warranty claims in accordance with company policies
Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability and order status
5. Interdepartmental Coordination
Liaise with service technicians and advisors to ensure timely availability of required parts
Coordinate parts allocation for service and repair orders
Work with sales staff to ensure parts and accessories are prepared for customer deliveries
Communicate order updates and timelines to internal teams
6. Operations and Reporting
Prepare and review reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and staff activities
Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the parts department
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
