About This Role
LOVELY RENOVATION TORONTO is hiring a full-time Floor Covering Installer for on-site work in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves installing and repairing different types of floor coverings in residential, commercial, rural, urban, and client-home settings. Duties include inspecting and measuring surfaces, preparing floors for installation, cutting and installing underlay, carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors, removing existing floor coverings, and performing direct glue-down carpet installations. This is a permanent full-time position offering $36.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week. The position requires physical work, attention to detail, client focus, good judgment, organization, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
- Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors
- Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings
- Prepare and install hardwood floors
- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
- Prepare floors for installations
- Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
- Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
- Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
