Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily processing activities in forest products manufacturing, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production schedules
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage raw material inventory levels using ERP systems.
  • Implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Oversee quality control procedures to maintain product standards and compliance with industry regulations
  • Lead assembly line operations, ensuring mechanical systems are functioning optimally through regular inspections and troubleshooting with mechanical knowledge
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization projects, leveraging ERP systems for data analysis and reporting
  • Train and develop team members on manufacturing best practices, process standards, and safety procedures

Required Skills

  • Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
  • Experience working with inventory management and production planning
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with quality control standards within forest products processing environments
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration across department
  • A grading ticket or experience with different grade familararity is preffered
