Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash register
- Process money, cheque and credit/debit card payments
- Scan items
- Receive payment for goods or services
- Suggestive selling
- Stock shelves and clean counter area
- Greet customers
- Wrap or place merchandise in bags
- Provide customer service
- Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary
- Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
- Organize and maintain inventory
Required Skills
- Electronic cash register
- Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system
Qualifications
- Languages - English
- Education – Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience – 1 year to less than 2 years
- On site – work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
- Work Setting – Retail business
