Primary SiteAbout This Role
A Production Engineering Technologist will provide technical support for manufacturing operations, production engineering, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to increase production efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
- Operating, configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting industrial UV digital printing systems, laser equipment, RIP software, and associated manufacturing technologies.
- Analyzing production workflows, identifying process bottlenecks, and recommending engineering and operational improvements.
- Designing, developing, testing, and implementing custom production jigs, fixtures, workholding devices, and manufacturing support equipment.
- Developing software tools, workflow automation solutions and production support applications using Python, Microsoft 365 and spreadsheets.
- Preparing engineering documentation, SOPs, manufacturing instructions and process documentation.
- Using Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, RIIN, Hosonsoft, LightBurn and related manufacturing software.
- Performing quality inspections, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collecting and analyzing production data for continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with production, engineering, shipping, quality assurance and management teams.
- Assisting with evaluation, installation, configuration and optimization of manufacturing equipment and engineering processes.
- Exercising independent technical judgment while ensuring customer specifications and company quality standards are met.
Required Skills
- At least 2 -3 years experience as a Production Engineering Technologist
Qualifications
- Completion of a two- or three-year college program or equivalent in industrial engineering technology, plastics technology, textile technology, manufacturing technology
