gForm Enterprises Ltd. is a Residential and commercial concrete formwork company. Our projects include both commercial and residential buildings, and we have a separate division that handles General Contracting and some design. We’ve worked on projects ranging from hotels and schools to custom residential builds and major renovations.
We are looking to grow our team and have openings for Carpenters in Richmond, BC.
We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to construct, erect, install, maintain, and repair structures and components made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Your job will involve working in diverse settings to produce steady, functional infrastructure.
Key Skills and Requirements:
· 3 to less than 5 years of experience is required.
· Completion of secondary school
· Able to understand work orders in English – we accept workers with no English proficiency as long as they can understand and perform the work orders.

Key Responsibilities
- Read, interpret and study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed.
- Measure materials or distances, using a square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect forms, framework, scaffolds, hoists, roof supports, or chutes, using hand tools, a plumb rule, and a level.
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. Install rough door and window frames, subflooring, fixtures, or temporary supports in structures undergoing construction or repair.
- Instruct apprentices.
- Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to the required size, using a handsaw, power saw, or woodworking machine.
- Assemble and fasten materials to construct wood or metal frameworks, using bolts, nails, or screws.
- Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers.
- Mark cutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber.
- Examine structural timbers and supports to detect decay, and replace timbers as required, using hand tools, nuts, and bolts.Other duties as assigned by Management.
