CareerOwl™ Canada: A New Chapter Begins
For more than 25 years, CareerOwl™ has connected Canadian employers, recruiters, and job seekers. While the original non-profit platform announced its closure in October 2025, this was not the end of CareerOwl's story. It was the beginning of a transformation.
We are proud to confirm that CareerOwl Ltd. is now the official owner and steward of the CareerOwl™ brand. The platform is not shutting down permanently. Instead, CareerOwl™ is relaunching in January 2026 with a modern, re-engineered system designed to meet the needs of today's employers and job seekers.
What This Means
• The CareerOwl legacy continues. The platform that once served Canadians for free as a non-profit will now evolve into a next-generation recruitment hub.
• The new CareerOwl™ will include:
AI-driven job matching aligned with Canada's National Occupational Classification (NOC) system
Integrated job descriptions mapped to industry standards
Wage benchmarks from Job Bank to support fair pay and LMIA compliance
Employer and recruiter dashboards for streamlined posting and applicant tracking
Candidate tools for resumes, skills matching, and bias-free applications
Addressing the Concern
Some readers may have seen messaging that CareerOwl was 'closing down' in 2025. That information was only part of the story. The old non-profit site reached the end of its life cycle, but the CareerOwl™ brand, mission, and purpose live on in a refreshed model.
The relaunch is not abandonment, it is a rebirth. CareerOwl Ltd. is committed to preserving the spirit of accessibility while adding tools that support modern recruitment, immigration pathways, and workforce development across Canada.
